Today was such a beautiful day in Cumbria, England…bloody cold…but beautiful!
It was stunning with that mix of frost and sunshine.
We wanted to go for a walk so we decided to go to a place called Talkin Tarn; a lake on the outskirts of Carlisle.
Considering it's sort of in 'the middle of nowhere', it is surprisingly popular; especially on days like today.
There is a cafe and shop but most importantly…they have ice-cream. Not just any ice-cream…they have English Lakes Ice-cream. If you're anything like me, I will eat ice-cream no matter what the weather!
Back to my happy place =)

Pumpkin Carving - Halloween
It's Halloween tomorrow!
The classic tradition of pumpkin carving is a must and is surprisingly lot's of fun. There aren't actually any children in our house but I love any excuse to feel like a kid again.

Very funny Damian…
Well there you have it…the finished product.
Surely it wouldn't be inappropriate for a 21 year old to go trick-or-treating?
Happy Halloween!

Grasmere - The Heart of the Lakes
This was a wee while ago now but I can't help but share one of the most beautiful places - ever.
Damian and I decided to make the most of the sun and walk around Grasmere.
I was born there so it is my pride and joy!
The walk around the lake takes up to an hour…or a few if you stop for a cheeky picnic.
...By the time we got back to the villiage we were ready for a cold drink. We went to 'Tweedies Bar' who do a good ol' pint. We relaxed in the beer garden, under the sun, watching time go by.
I only captured moments around the lake and Tweedies but no doubt I'll be back soon to take more. The village is quaint with unique gift shops, lovely tea rooms, plenty of outdoor shops and of course Grasmere Gingerbread…oh my.
Until next time….. :)

St Bee's Beach - Autumn is here!
My mum and I, along with the dogs, decided to take a little road trip to the beach the other day. It didn't matter which beach...sometimes you just need to get away and feel the fresh, salty breeze that the seaside offers.
So we put on our wellies, wrapped up, chucked the pooches in the back of the car and set off. I always find that the drive there, through the English countryside, is something you can't beat.
We ended up at St Bees Beach which is just past Whitehaven in Cumbria. A cute little place with buildings worn out from the ocean spray.
What's an English beach without a wild breeze.
Let me introduce Sasha...
And Sadie (clearly the fruit-loop of the family).
...A red wine in front of the fire was a perfect way to end the day!

Better not forget Mum.
I left feeling windswept but refreshed!
